Description
Smartling is looking for a UI/UX designer to build and maintain an exceptional Smartling brand identity and product experience. In this role, you will work with both Product and Marketing Managers, as well as in-house and outside creative colleagues, to create an intuitive and cohesive experience for the Smartling brand.

VP, Marketing
Responsibilities
- Embody the Smartling brand and mission in the marketplace
- Work closely with product managers, engineers and marketing peers to create simple, easy-to-use software and experiences with the brand.
- Brainstorm, research, wireframe, design and refine user experiences - within specified product requirements and deadlines
- Architect and perform usability sessions with key stakeholders and customers to get feedback as needed.
- Deliverables include wireframes, workflow diagrams, original art and illustrations, interactive mockups, prototypes, etc.
- Create design concepts that resonate with our target audience(s) and help meet business objectives
- Provide guidance to all staff on brand integrity, to ensure consistency of messages and creatives in the marketplace
Requirements
- Degree in Fine Arts or related field, or equivalent visual design and management experience
- 3+ years of designing user experiences and interaction design for rich Web applications for both business and technical users
- Exceptional user interface and experience design skills and an understanding of user-centered design disciplines, as well as an eye for subtle detail
- The ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex user design issues into clean, understandable solutions
- Show an online portfolio of recent UI and UX work
- Knowledge / experience working with HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process
- Proficiency in another language is highly beneficial
